Ravens Lineman Matt Birk Is A strong Supporter Of The Pro-Life Cause
The Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl in 2013 in an upset victory, which included an annual congratulations ceremony with President Barack Obama. However, Ravens lineman Matt Birk refused the invitation because of the President’s strong support for abortion and Planned Parenthood.
Now Birk will be in Washington, DC, in a totally different capacity. He’ll be on the outside of the White House participating in the annual March for Life on January 22. He will be taking an active part as a headline speaker for the March.
Birk has been a long-time supporter of the pro-life cause. He grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and his wife volunteered at a pregnancy center across from a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic.
He says that the media would like to push pro-life people to the side and hopes they’ll shut their mouths and go away. However, he says that is exactly what must not be done. Birk says he doesn’t think of himself as a superstar but is glad to use the platform that foodball has given him to speak for the unborn.
