Jessica's Cutting Story
It's like cutting is your best friend...
It all started when I was 13. My life was all messed up. I lost the love of my life. I thought life was pointless, so I started cutting myself. At first I thought it was normal, that there wasn't anything wrong with it. But I started to do it more and more, until I got to thinking about suicide.
My parents eventually found out, and I got therapy. But it was all over a guy. I hit depression and had an eating disorder. People shouldn't do it. It takes you over. It controls you. It's like cutting is your best friend now, and you have to do whatever it says.
I stopped doing it when I was 15, and now I'm 16 and haven't done it since. This is an issue that many teens face; and I suggest that if you have problems, go to someone. Don't keep things in your own hands because you will do something you will regret. Now I live with scars on my arms. It is painful to see that I did that, but I have to live with them for the rest of my life. So don't do it; and if you do, get help.
