I was put up for adoption when I was 6 months old. When I was 4 years old my adopted mom told me that I was adopted, but I didn’t understand it. Now I am 14, and I know the whole story. |
My biological mother was 15 when she had me and 14 when she had my older brother. She knew it would be too hard to take care of a one-year-old and a newborn, so she put me up for adoption. The people who adopted me are actually my aunt and uncle, but I always call them mom and dad because they have raised me since I was 6 months old. So since I was raised by my aunt and uncle/mom and dad, I have always known my real mom as my cousin.
I now spend almost every weekend with my real mom, but I know nothing of my real dad. He kind of doesn’t exist.
