I was put up for adoption when I was 6 months old. When I was 4 years old my adopted mom told me that I was adopted, but I didnít understand it. Now I am 14, and I know the whole story.

My biological mother was 15 when she had me and 14 when she had my older brother. She knew it would be too hard to take care of a one-year-old and a newborn, so she put me up for adoption. The people who adopted me are actually my aunt and uncle, but I always call them mom and dad because they have raised me since I was 6 months old. So since I was raised by my aunt and uncle/mom and dad, I have always known my real mom as my cousin.

I now spend almost every weekend with my real mom, but I know nothing of my real dad. He kind of doesnít exist.
